Teens In Training (TNT)

Teens in Training is a four week program designed to introduce your teen to the different aspects of fitness training. Teens will be led by a degreed fitness professional through the five components of fitness with brief learning sessons and fun, active engagement.  Small group or individual sessions are formed based on participant's availability.  We will demonstrate to your teen how to exercise correctly for the rest of their life.  Call Keith at 985-6720 to get started.

Workout Incentive Programs

Workout Incentive Programs, which range from one to four weeks in length, are designed to spice up a member’s current routine.  Our goal is to encourage members to try new pieces of equipment or training techniques while bringing the fun back into fitness!  The incentive programs cater to all fitness levels and age groups.  In addition to the incentive programs listed below, other incentives may be offered to encourage member participation throughout the year.

Passport To Fitness:  Held in February

This is a quick and exciting two week incentive program designed to increase your daily physical activity level by completing a variety of fun and diverse activities.  The American College of Sports Medicine, American Heart Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend the average adult get at least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day for 150 minutes per week.  This is what our challenge is to you!  If you already do this much or more exercise regularly then this program will serve as a way to spice up your current routine!

Steppin' Out: Held in April

This is the Medical Fitness Association’s national annual walking challenge of completing 70,000 steps in seven days. The goal is to encourage everyone in the community to become more active by wearing a pedometer for an entire week from the time you wake up, until the time you go to bed, write down your steps each day, and report your weekly total to the Pavilion staff.

Typically, American adults average 2,000 – 3,000 steps per day. Walking just 30 minutes more per day – all at once or by being more active throughout the day – can help you reach your goal of 10,000 steps per day. Your pedometer will help you see how easy it can be. But, remember, every increase in steps, no matter how small, is reason to celebrate. Even if you don’t reach your goal right away, this challenge can put you on the right track to increasing your physical activity and looking and feeling better!

Ironman: Held in April

This is a month long cross training fitness program designed to challenge and motivate members to reach their fitness goals.  Members may sign up individually or on teams of two to three people.  The goal is to complete a 2.4 mile swim or 15,000 meter row, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile walk/run.  Events may be completed on or off the Pavilion grounds.
