Learn the most up to date dietary and exercise guidelines from our registered dietitian and degreed personal trainer. Discover ways to jump start your fitness plan and incorporate healthier choices to your meal plan. This class is taught by a registered dietitian and a degreed personal trainer. Offered each month, this class is highly recommended for new members.

A Laughter Yoga Experience
Humans were designed to laugh. Laughter is nature's stress buster. It lifts our spirits with a happy high that makes us feel good and improves our behavior towards others. A regular 20 minute laughter session can have a profound impact on our health and well-being. This class combines laughter exercises and yoga breathing. Join Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, Patrick Welage in this unique, participatory experience.

LifeSteps Weight Management
LifeSteps Weight Management program is a behaviorally-based program that integrates current weight management research incorporating nutrition, physical activity and group support. This NEW 12 week program begins with an initial assessment and then provides ongoing guidance for healthy eating, increasing physical activity, and strategies for successful behavior change. An emphasis on personal choice, responsibility, and accountability sets this behavioral approach program apart from other weight management methods. This course will be taught by a LifeSteps-certified registered dietitian and includes an individual nutrition consultation as well as a private one-hour session with a personal trainer.

Diabetes Support Group—Coming to the Pavilion!
Join Diabetes Educators from Bethesda North Hospital for group support and up to date education from medical professionals. Ancient Persian Cooking for the Modern Healthy Kitchen
Persian cooking is both exotic and simple. Join Phyllis Binik Thomas and dietitian Julie Shapero as they share the flavors of Persian cooking with you. Phyllis is a gourmet cook and an active Pavilion member. She has lost over 120 pounds through diet and exercise, incorporating healthy and delicious ethnic recipes such as the ones presented today.

Arthritis Answers
The CDC estimates that 46 million adults in the U.S. have been told by their physician that they have some form of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus or fibromyalgia.
